Jeremy Goodwin - ​Director

​Jeremy has practised law for more than 30 years, and is a very experienced commercial lawyer, whilst maintaining a very friendly, approachable manner. His primary focus areas are commercial, property and trusts. During his career he has worked in big and small firms gaining valuable insight to assist you with your requirements.

As a director at Carter Atmore Law he has acted on the disposal of property developments and their funding, and as an independent trustee, which involves establishing prudent trust investment structures, problem solving and balancing the needs of beneficiaries.

Throughout his career he has also been involved in administering deceased estates, often acting as an independent executor of wills.

He is strongly motivated to help clients to resolve problems and achieve fair outcomes in disputes.

His passion outside the office is golf. A major highlight was in 2010, when he scored a hole in one at The Grange, on the 15th hole.

Tracey Free - Senior Associate

Tracey enjoys general practice law and giving advice over a range of personal and business matters. She can help guide you through thorny issues, assisting you in reaching your decision while being aware of the risks and benefits of the various options.

Tracey advises on matters for residential and commercial property, property sharing agreements, conveyancing, retirement villages, relationship property, trusts and wills. 

Her background in university lecturing helps her to explain complex legal issues clearly and also to relate to people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. 

In her spare time, Tracey enjoys trail running which is a nice balance for her other activity, baking.

Hours:  Monday to Friday - 9 am to 5 pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 9 am to 2 pm on Wednesday and Friday

Janet Jarman - Consultant Registered Senior Legal Executive

​Janet has worked as a Legal Executive for over 30 years and is a Fellow of the NZ Institute of Legal Executives. During her career she has worked in various sized law firms.

​Janet is now mainly involved with residential property transactions, refinancing, trusts, wills enduring powers of attorney, estates, and company administration. She works to ensure a seamless transaction for you.

In her spare time, Janet enjoys playing golf, attending gym classes, and gardening.

Chris Rolfe - ​Consultant Lawyer

Chris is an experienced general practice lawyer having spent many years as a partner at Neumegen & Co and more recently as the founding partner at Law & Legal Ltd. His focus is and always has been on quality, innovative, and cutting edge legal services providing support for his clients faced with the complexity of today's challenging environment.

Chris offers a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of law, with particular emphasis in the areas of business, residential and commercial property, leases, trusts and family property services.

His other interests are eclectic, and include reading widely on a variety of topics, sport, travel, learning a language, community issues, keeping fit and keeping up with his grandchildren.

Tabitha Avery - Legal Executive

Tabitha has completed her New Zealand Diploma in Legal Executive Studies. During her time in the legal profession Tabitha has gained a well-rounded understanding of how a law firm operates and working in a law office.

Tabitha assists with property transactions, wills as well as providing general office support. Her diverse background and various roles including, acting, personal training, psychology studies and as a police officer, have equipped Tabitha with strong communication skills, resilience, and personal development.

In her spare time, you will find time Tabitha working on personal development, going for walks, doing workouts, drinking coffee and spending time with her son, friends and family.
